An exciting opportunity exists for an Accountant to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, be highly organized, and have an understanding of multi-group internal transactions…. And unique aspects of your business, such as medical device fields for B2C and B2B clients.

Reporting to the Director and GM, the accountant will have primary day-to-day responsibility for the following financial-related activities:

• Provides services relating to compliance-based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency and accounting information systems; and advises on associated record-keeping requirements
• Manage daily and weekly financial processes & formulate budgetary and accounting policies
• Completing month-end, quarterly and year-end accounting tasks, ensuring the timely reporting of all financial information
• Prepare and review corporate tax, audit, BAS, payroll tax and ASIC-related processes
• Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation
• Investigate discrepancies to determine the accuracy of ledgers and journal entries
• Preparing regulatory filings
• Provide financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
• A good working knowledge of company, taxation and superannuation laws
• Stay up to date with new and existing tax, accounting and industry legislation
• Maintain internal control systems
