We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our team based in Sydney. We’re looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join our dynamic team in NSW. This full-function accounting role will support the day-to-day accounting for the business. This full-time role will involve the following duties but not limited to:
About the Role:
- Completing year-end Financial Accounts and Income tax returns and advised on tax issues to the business.
- Deliver services such as preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST returns, PAYG Report, and handled disputes with taxation authorities etc.
- Management and Reporting -Daily/Monthly/Quarterly/Half-Yearly, including projected statements.
- Organizing accounting entries, compliance-based auditing, producing accounting information and record keeping.
- Posting monthly journals for payroll cost, employee superannuation and PAYG withholding tax, salary sacrifice, commissions, and employee termination payments.
- Planning trial balance, evaluating all asset, liability, expense, and income general ledger accounts. Proving variance analysis and providing commentary on financial figures.
- Posting monthly journals for payroll cost, employee superannuation and PAYG withholding tax, salary sacrifice, commissions, and employee termination payment
- Establishing and keeping accounting systems and recommending on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.
- Execution and processing of accounting information systems of Xero.
About the applicant:
• Degree qualified (majoring in Accounting or Finance).
• At least 2-5 years of experience in the field (preferable).
• Experience of Accounting in International Education Business is preferred.
• Highly skilled with accounting software and CRM.
• A strong desire to work in a globally diverse business.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
