Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Horticulture Trainer 🌱? Want to train the next industry experts? Look no further! 👀We are currently seeking a Horticulture Trainer to deliver training on a casual basis.
As a Horticulture Trainer you will play a pivotal role in training and assessing aspiring horticulturists. Your expertise and guidance will enable our students to flourish in their careers.
In this role you will:
- Lead engaging training sessions, sharing your practical knowledge and hands-on experience. 👍
- Assess and evaluate the performance and progress of students.
- Assist in the development of comprehensive training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and assessments.
- Provide guidance and support to students, ensuring a positive learning experience.
- Stay updated with the latest horticultural trends and practices. 🌳
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Training may be delivered in the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Hunter Valley, and Newcastle Regions, so travel may be necessary for this role. 🚗

What you’ll bring to the table
We employ trainers who are actively engaged in industry practice whilst teaching, giving students insight into current industry processes and trends.
To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate:
- Current qualifications in Horticulture or similar. 🌟
- TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher.
- Experience working in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector (desired but not required).
- Driver licence. 🚗
- A genuine passion for teaching and mentorship.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and experience using virtual platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Suite programs, and Office 365.
- Experience delivering training to students with barriers to education and training will also be highly regarded.
