Primary LocationVIC - MelbourneJob Description SummaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant - Payroll to join Service Stream in our Corporate division, based in Melbourne, VicAbout the RoleThis role is responsible for providing comprehensive accounting & financial service across the Service Stream Group. With a key focus on Payroll Accounting. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant (SFA), this position will be required to support the SFA with the management of all accounting & reporting for the Group including financial & operational analysis and governance, as well as involvement in process improvement initiatives.
The role also provides ancillary accounting support to the Group’s corporate accounting, group reporting and tax functions. This role involves the preparation, posting & reconciliation of general ledger journals for the Group & Corporate divisions mainly in relation to payroll. Covering employee entitlements including AL, LSL, RDO etc and various on-costs including PAYG, Super, PRT & Workers comp.
The role supports the tax & risk departments in the production of the Group’s indirect tax liabilities such as PRT, FBT & Workers comp.
