Continuing its tradition for excellence in the education of girls, Melbourne Girls Grammar is seeking a knowledgeable, innovative, and engaging Oboe & Bassoon teacher to join the collaborative Music Faculty as a Music Itinerant. Music is a vibrant and exciting aspect of co-curricular life at Melbourne Girls Grammar – our students perform in a wide range of ensembles across age, year, and instrument levels.
This casual position will teach individual Oboe and Bassoon lessons in the Merton Hall Program. At this stage, there is a half day of teaching, and the day of the week is negotiable.
Applicants should have a strong knowledge of instrumental music teaching pedagogy as well as instrumental tuition experience. The successful applicant will be a dynamic music educator with the ability to engage and inspire students in lessons and rehearsals. The successful applicant will be an adept player and teacher of both Oboe and Bassoon.

The notebook computer and our LMS are an integral part of the teaching and learning process at our School and it is expected teaching and learning will incorporate their use along with other technologies available to you. Knowledge and implementation of a variety of online and multimedia programs to support student learning is highly desirable.
