Key Selection Criteria – For ASO6 Senior Finance Business Partner 
To apply and succeed in the role, you will have: 

• Demonstrated knowledge of government best practice accounting techniques and applications, including Audit and Treasury requirements. 
• Knowledge and application of taxation legislation, accounting systems and applications, and risk management principals. 
• Proven experience in coordination the development and delivery of a comprehensive range of financial services, management reporting and budgeting services and processes and demonstrated experience in developing and implementing financial management, budgeting and reporting improvement initiatives and processes. 
• Significant experience in providing a broad range of specialist financial support including a responsive helpdesk function and analysing and contributing to senior level and critical submissions and financial system, process and policy review and development. 

Key Selection Criteria – For ASO7 Principal Fiancial Analyst 
To apply and succeed in the role, you will have: 

• Significant experience planning, delivering and evaluating complex financial analysis and advisory programs and services including partnering with, and providing expert advice on business case development, funding requests, project management, grant management, risk management and financial management within a government context.  
• Significant experience utilising a range of financial analysis techniques, models and evaluation processes, from a probity and risk perspective, and undertaking research to identify, address and report on risks to inform planning and risk management.  
• Comprehensive and contemporary knowledge of business and financial analysis techniques and commercial trends, grant and financial assistance management and detailed knowledge of related government policy decision making processes and accountability systems. 
• Detailed knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Treasurer’s Instructions, Forward Estimates processes, contemporary accounting methods and procedures, financial management principles, financial analysis and management reporting techniques and their application in a government organisation. 

Remuneration: 
Competitive salary (ASO6$ 97,022 - $102,626 pa) plus 11% superannuation. 
Competitive salary (ASO7$ 106,512 - $115,137 pa) plus 11% superannuation.

Qualifications: 
Essential: an appropriate degree in accounting, finance or economics majoring in accounting. 
Desirable: Membership to an accounting professional body.
