About the role:
- Support the creation of corporate budgets, engaging with the appropriate managers and Directors.
- Consolidate all of WMQ financial reports for review, including end of month management reports, annual budget reports and assist with end of year accounts.
- Working to ensure the integrity of the data in the General Ledger, including payroll data.
- Monitor Provision balances and recoveries, including Annual Leave, Long Service leave and Work Cover.
- Prepare Australian Bureau of Statistics and other returns.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register including transacting, monthly reconciliation and coordination of stocktakes.
- Maintain Capital Project ledger including setup, review/reporting and capitalisations.
- Undertake monthly review of maintenance system for capital work.
- Management reporting to all project managers, including variance analysis.
- Manage insurance schedule and insurance claims.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business.
- Excellent financial management skills, including demonstrated experience in the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information.
- Demonstrated high level skills and knowledge of computer-based office systems, including word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and discuss financial information with line managers and a commitment to providing quality customer service to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to work both autonomously as well as in a team environment, complete work within deadlines and with limited supervision.
- Ability to plan and coordinate activities, prioritise, monitor and evaluate workflows and continually assess and improve effectiveness of financial processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
