Master espresso coffee making from grinding to serving café-quality beverages. This hands-on course teaches aspiring baristas and coffee enthusiasts professional techniques, machine operation, and food safety practices to work confidently in hospitality or impress at home.
You must be at least 15 years old to enrol. No prior experience or qualifications are required. A passion for coffee and willingness to learn are essential. Current student visa holders (subclass 500) are eligible to enrol.
The course covers comprehensive espresso coffee making skills including coffee history and origins, espresso machine operation and maintenance, grinding and dosing techniques, extraction principles, milk steaming and frothing methods, and preparation of café favourites such as short black, long black, latte, cappuccino, and macchiato. You'll also learn hygienic food safety practices, workspace management, and professional cleaning procedures to maintain café standards.
