This course is designed for nominated supervisors and leaders in Early Childhood Education and OSHC (Out of School Hours Care) settings. Participants should have current or aspiring leadership responsibilities within their service. No prior formal training is required, though experience working in early childhood or school care environments is beneficial. Participants need reliable internet access and a device to join live webinar sessions.
Session 1 covers the Leadership Umbrella Model, explaining why traditional leadership structures fail and introducing the '5-6 people rule' for effective team support. Session 2 focuses on the Expectation Window, teaching how to set clear, visible expectations and build confidence and accountability. Session 3, Leadership In Action, covers practical rituals including pit stops and check-ins to maintain team communication and consistency. Session 4, Building a Strong Team Culture, addresses protecting team wellbeing, creating trust and ownership, and celebrating progress to lift performance.
