This Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is for those wanting to take on higher levels of responsibility and leadership in an early childhood setting. You'll learn how to design and implement curriculum, and acquire the skills to foster the holistic development and wellbeing of children.
Completion of Year 10 or equivalent. Completion of CHC30113 or CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is a pre-requisite.
The course covers a range of core units including managing team effectiveness, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children, fostering holistic early childhood learning and development, nurturing creativity in children, facilitating compliance, fostering positive interactions, implementing inclusion strategies, analyzing information to inform children's learning, planning and implementing curriculum, embedding environmental responsibility, and working in partnership with families. Elective units cover leading the work team, developing and implementing policy, and reflecting on and improving professional practice.
