PART 1: 2 trimester (8 months). PART 2: 2 trimesters (8 months)

In a nutshell

Put your creative ideas into practice by studying art, design and architecture. If you want to design skyscrapers, develop products or create contemporary art, develop the skills to turn your vision into reality.

What you'll need to get in

To be accepted into a Monash College Diploma, you must meet the academic and English language requirements. You will also need to check the age and subject requirements before you apply. To enter directly into part 2, you will need a folio of creative work. If you do not have a folio you may be offered a place in part 1.

Subject breakdown

Part 1 consists of two trimesters over eight months. Develop your personal folio, which will show your creative work. After successfully completing part 1, you may be accepted into first year of a relevant Monash University degree, but you must achieve the minimum grades set by the faculty. Part 2 Choose your stream: Architectural Design, Fine Art, Communication Design, Industrial Design, or Spatial Design. During part 2 you will study the same curriculum and complete the same assessments as first year undergraduate students. Classes will help you develop your critical thinking skills and university research techniques. These skills will prepare you for success at the University.

Why this provider?

After successfully completing part 2, trimester one, and meeting faculty entry requirements, you may be accepted for entry into first year of the Bachelor of Architectural Design or Bachelor of Fine Art, with credits. After successfully completing part 2, trimester two, you may be accepted for entry into the Bachelor of Design (with specialisation in Communication Design, Industrial Design, Spatial Design or Collaborative Design).
